The Bienaise chair was born in Paris in 1921 from the imagination of two Americans: Frank and Harry Nelson. It was the first French chair designed specifically for office use, and its worldwide success spanned from the 1930s to the 1970s.
I managed to rescue these chairs from an old underground bunker that had been abandoned since 1948!
Stripped, brushed, oiled, and restored, I was able to find original backrests and seats that were perfectly adaptable.
Another rescue and restoration project by L'Atelier des Zèbres!
Seat height is adjustable, between 50 and 70 cm.
