An elegant pair of Art Deco stools from Czechoslovakia, dating to the 1930s, preserved in good original condition.
The stools feature beech wood frames with walnut veneer, displaying the restrained geometry and balanced proportions associated with Central European Art Deco furniture of the interwar period.
Each stool is constructed with four subtly tapered legs joined by a geometric cross-form stretcher. The circular upholstered seats retain their vintage floral textile and decorative edging, providing a soft contrast to the clean architectural lines of the wooden frames.
The warm walnut tones, simple geometry and compact proportions make these stools particularly versatile. They can be used as vanity or dressing table stools, bedroom seating, occasional stools, piano seats or decorative accent pieces in both period and contemporary interiors.
The pair retains an appealing aged character, with minor signs of use and wear consistent with approximately ninety years of history.
