A pair of Victorian Windsor-style armchairs crafted from oak and elm, dating to around 1870. These chairs embody the classic English tradition of Windsor craftsmanship, celebrated for its timeless balance of elegance, comfort, and structural integrity.
Each armchair features a turned spindle backrest, shaped solid seat, and gracefully curved arms, reflecting the workmanship associated with the furniture-making workshops of High Wycombe, England — the historic center of Windsor chair production.
Both chairs remain in excellent original condition, with an attractive aged patina that highlights the natural grain of the wood. A well-preserved example of late 19th-century English craftsmanship and design.
