Beautiful portrait of a sweet owl. 'Face chocolate' Painted in combination with sheet music. (See Ena's last photo 'let it snow') The background color is deep dark blue. This painting was made quite recently in 2024. This painting is a continuation of a series of portraits of Dutch birds, made during the corona period. This inspired me to look at nature through a magnifying glass. Magnifying the small! Painted by Britt Kleiberg 1980, Amersfoort Studio located in Harderwijk Britt paints animals from all over the world with a story. During the corona period she has put Dutch birds in the spotlight! - She graduated in Graphic Design and Styling before finding her calling in contemporary art. Born into a family with a healthy interest in art, she was exposed to art at an early age and started painting when she was 10 years old. She loved going to museums and is grateful for the early education she received. It has given her the background for her current journey as a contemporary artist. Positivity, colors and freedom to move The use of color is an important part of her artistic vocabulary: "Colors make people happy and I want to bring joy and positivity into the world. Her color palette can represent an animal's natural environment, a hunt or an emotion; depending on what she wants to communicate. And however more subdued, the background is also part of this. She uses strange little shapes of color to 'fill' her animals. These represent imaginary continents," she explains, "and can represent the areas where the animal belongs, or where it wants to be. In my artistic world, anything is possible." See more: www.britt-art.nl
