Title: 'Jumper Freedom!' Beautiful portrait of a young black redstart jumping on top of a branch of sheet music. The background color is a heavenly light blue. This painting was created in 2023 and is a continuation of the Dutch Birds series. Painted by Britt Kleiberg 1980, Amersfoort Atelier located in Harderwijk. Britt paints animals from all over the world with a story. During the corona period, they have put Dutch birds in the spotlight! - She completed a degree in Graphic Design and Styling before finding her calling in contemporary art. Born into a family with a healthy interest in art, she was exposed to art at an early age and started painting at the age of 10. She loved visiting museums and is grateful for the early training she received. It has given her the background for her current journey as a contemporary artist. Positivity, colors, and freedom to roam. The use of color is a key part of her artistic vocabulary: "Colors make people happy, and I want to bring joy and positivity into the world." Her palette can represent an animal's natural environment, hunting, or an emotion; depending on what she wants to communicate. And however subdued, the background is part of it. She uses curiously small color shapes to "fill" her animals. "These represent imaginary continents," she explains, "and can represent the areas where the animal belongs, or where it wants to be.
