Portrait of a Runner Duck. Painted on canvas. Title: 'Fête la Con Fetti'. 50 x 100 x 4 (deep) blue background and black all around (sides of canvas) Painted by Britt Kleiberg 1980, Amersfoort. Studio located in Harderwijk Britt paints animals from all over the world with a story. Fête la Con fetti is about: 'The snow is enchanted!' shouted Alfredo. "He looked up at the clear blue sky and it was snowing confetti. When it snows you can be anywhere and time seems to stand still for a moment." During the corona period she has put extra spotlight on Dutch birds! - She graduated in Graphic Design and Styling before finding her calling in contemporary art. Born into a family with a healthy interest in art, she came into contact with art at an early age and started painting when she was 10 years old. She loved going to museums and is grateful for the early education she received. It has provided the backdrop for her current journey as a contemporary artist. Positivity, colors, and freedom to move. The use of color is an important part of her artistic vocabulary: "Colors make people happy, and I want to bring joy and positivity into the world. Her color palette can represent an animal's natural environment, a hunt, or an emotion; depending on what she wants to communicate. And however more subdued, the background is also part of this. She uses strange little shapes of color to 'fill' her animals. These represent imaginary continents," she explains, "and can represent the areas where the animal belongs, or where it wants to be. In my artistic world, anything is possible." More work: www.britt-art.nl
