Painting of a lobster. 'It's my lemon' Painted in the summer of 2022 Painted by Britt Kleiberg 1980, Amersfoort Atelier based in Harderwijk Britt paints animals from all over the world with a story. This painting was made fairly recently in 2021 - She earned a degree in Graphic Design and Styling before finding her calling in contemporary art. Born into a family with a healthy interest in art, she was exposed to art at an early age and began painting when she was 10 years old. She loved going to museums and is grateful for the early education she received. It has given her the background for her current journey as a contemporary artist. Positivity, colors and freedom to roam The use of color is an important part of her artistic vocabulary: "Colors make people happy, and I like to bring joy and positivity into the world. Her palette can represent an animal's natural environment, hunting or an emotion; depending on what she wants to communicate. And however subdued, the background is part of it. She uses peculiar small shapes of color to 'fill' her animals. 'These represent imaginary continents,' she explains, 'and can represent the areas where the animal belongs, or where it wants to be. In my artistic world, anything is possible. My animals can roam freely.'
