Private sellerProduct description
This is an original painting by the Dutch artist Liesbeth Rahder, created in 1996. The work, signed and dated by the artist, is a characteristic example of her abstract style and intuitive approach to the canvas. The painting is executed in a mixed technique on canvas, where Rahder uses both a brush and a palette knife to create texture and depth. Measuring 116 by 186 cm, this is a work of significant size. The palette is dominated by warm earth tones, including red, orange, and brown, evoking a lively and expressive atmosphere. The work is framed in a matching wooden frame with a subtle gold-colored trim. Liesbeth Rahder, trained at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, is known for her layered compositions that begin with large color fields and evolve into detailed, almost narrative representations. This piece showcases her technique of scratching into wet paint, which gives a dynamic signature to the surface. The overall condition of the artwork is excellent, retaining its original colors and texture. Due to its size and powerful use of color, this painting is an impressive eye-catcher, suitable for a prominent place in a living or working space. It fits well within both a modern and an eclectic interior where it can form a focal point of color and expression.
