Positivity, colors, and freedom of movement. The use of color is an important part of the artistic vocabulary: 'Colors make people happy and bring joy and positivity into the world. The color palette can represent an animal's natural environment, hunting, or an emotion; depending on what needs to be communicated. And no matter how subdued, the background is part of this. Strange little shapes of color are used to 'fill' the animals. These represent imaginary continents and can represent the areas where the animal belongs, or where it wants to be. In this artistic world, anything is possible.
- Currently, there is an exhibition at Stark in Kunst in Amersfoort. A series of portraits of birds can be admired here.
