This S23 industrial stacking chair in Pagwood by Galvanitas was designed in the 1970s in the style of famous industrial designs by Wim Rietveld, Jean Prouvé, and Friso Kramer, based on a 'pyramid' or 'compass' principle. This sculptural chair is comfortable and substantial. The Pagwood seat is made of high-density veneer or resin composite and is shock-, scratch-, break-, and weather-resistant, and even resistant to cigarette burns. The frame is made of folded sheet steel with a sliding rod. The design of the chair legs allows for easy stacking of multiple chairs. The metal frame is black, and the seat features a strong brown wood grain.
