Product description
Pablo PICASSO (1881–1973)
Hommage à Pablo Picasso – Grand Palais, Petit Palais, Bibliothèque nationale
Original exhibition Poster – 1966-1967
Original vintage Poster made for the major exhibition Hommage à Pablo Picasso, organized in Paris from November 1966 to February 1967 at the Grand Palais, Petit Palais and Bibliothèque nationale.
This exceptional event, organized on the occasion of Picasso's 85th birthday, paid tribute to the artist during his lifetime.
The Poster reproduces a figurative composition representing a seated woman, characteristic of Picasso's pictorial language, with its geometrised forms and color contrasts: turquoise blue, red, pink, brown and yellow.
Its original 1960s typography, associated with the names of the three Parisian institutions, also gives it genuine graphic and historical interest.
