Old Chinese wedding cabinet with special brass butterfly fittings. A characterful, spacious Storage cabinet with plenty of storage space: two spacious shelves, two small internal drawers, and two wide drawers at the bottom.
The richly detailed, openwork butterfly fittings are a real eye-catcher. On the inside of the doors, old handwritten Chinese workshop/assembly markings are also visible.
The cabinet has been repainted in the past. In some places where this later layer of paint is damaged, the original deep reddish-brown lacquer layer reappears. I have deliberately left these traces intact; they are now part of the history and character of the cabinet. (see photos)
The cabinet shows signs of wear appropriate for its age, visible in the detailed photos.
Dimensions: approx. 180 × 135 × 62 cm (h × w × d), measured at the widest and deepest points. The cabinet tapers slightly.
