An authentic vintage Thonet bistro set, consisting of three chairs and a marble table. This set embodies the timeless elegance of the Viennese coffee house, with the iconic chair No. 14, a design by Michael Thonet that shaped furniture history. The three chairs are made of dark bent beech wood, a technique perfected by Thonet. The seats are made of hand-woven rattan, providing both comfort and a classic look. The matching table has a heavy, solid top of white and grey marbled natural stone, finished with a brass edge. The whole rests on a stable, graceful tripod of black cast iron. The authenticity stamps are present under the frame of the chairs. The set is in very good and sturdy vintage condition. The woodwork of the chairs and the cast iron base of the table show a light, characteristic patina that matches their age. The weaving of the rattan seats is completely intact, tight and resilient, which testifies to careful use over the years. This Thonet bistro set is a refined addition to a kitchen, conservatory or a compact dining area.
