Product description
An authentic Lounge Chair with ottoman, designed by the iconic duo Charles and Ray Eames and produced by Vitra under license from Herman Miller. The stickers indicate that the chair was made between 1970 and 1984.
This piece of furniture is one of the most recognizable and celebrated designs of the twentieth century, a symbol of modern comfort and refined aesthetics.
The set is made from the characteristic materials that define the design: the shells are made of molded plywood with Rio Pallisander. This remains the true, original, and by far the most beautiful wood type used for these chairs. After the early 1990s, this wood type was no longer allowed to be sold. The cushions are upholstered in supple black leather. Both the chair and ottoman rest on a star base of cast aluminum, finished in black with polished top edges. The chair features a swivel mechanism, contributing to its functionality and comfort.
This set is in very good condition, with a character consistent with its age and careful use. The leather has developed a natural patina and shows some creases, which is typical for this material, but is completely intact and well-maintained. The wooden shells and the base are in excellent condition, and the original Herman Miller stickers are present on the underside of the chair.
The Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman is a timeless addition to any interior, from a modern living room to a classic study or library. It is not only a comfortable lounge chair but also an investment in design history that effortlessly blends with various styles.
