Stamped ‘Fasem 83’ Very good condition for its age Also known as Model B3 chairs — were designed by Marcel Breuer in 1925 while he was at the Bauhaus. Fasem, an Italian manufacturer, produced later licensed versions. When Fasem (Italy) produced Wassily chairs, particularly during the late 20th century, they maintained the overall modernist tubular steel frame but upgraded the materials for a more luxurious, contemporary market. Polished stainless steel frame High-quality saddle leather Precision-machined and hand-finished stitching Fasem was known for its superb leatherworking, so their Wassily editions are often prized for the exceptional leather quality, giving them a distinct edge over other licensed versions (like those by Knoll).
