Original Thonet Children's High Chair Model No 2.
An authentic and rare bentwood children's high chair made at the beginning of the 20th century by the Thonet Furniture Company and known as chair Model No 2.
Thonet has a great tradition of producing various furniture for children, which can be seen in the thonet sales catalogues from the second part of 19th century. A very rare find indeed.
This chair nicely shows the Thonet renowned technique of wood bending.
There is a perforated decoration on the wooden seat and the backrest and its two armrests are the main design features.
This particular piece is believed to have been produced in the period 1920 - 1930 and this piece comes with 2 attribution marks under the seat.
The chair is in very good vintage condition and unrestored. With some wear and patina on the wooden surface gained over the years makes it a desirable collector's item.
