Product description
This is a set of two antique oil lamps, crafted from cream-colored glass and resting on a metal base. The lamps are characterized by historical portraits of Napoleon Bonaparte and his wife Joséphine de Beauharnais, which gives them a distinctive and decorative character.
The lamps have a baluster-shaped glass body in a soft, cream-colored hue. They stand on an elegant, square brass base with classic, rococo-inspired details. The portraits are applied as transfer prints. The original burners are also made of brass and complete the authentic design of this set.
The overall condition of the lamps is good, in accordance with their age. The metal parts show a natural patina that contributes to their historical appearance. The glass parts are intact, and the portraits, despite some wear, are clearly recognizable.
This set forms an elegant and historical accent in a classic or eclectic interior. The lamps are particularly suitable as a decorative pair on a dresser, a console, or a mantelpiece, where they add a touch of nineteenth-century grandeur.
