About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This striking and boldly shaped table lamp dates from the 1960s in Czechoslovakia and carries the unmistakable signature of prominent Czech glass artist Štěpán Tabery. The entire sculptural and perfectly balanced composition is crafted from a single piece of vibrant red colored glass, which instantly commands attention with its confident silhouette featuring a slender hourglass waist and a smooth, dynamic outward sweep toward the stable base and upper diffuser rim. The applied glass material boasts extraordinary chromatic depth, casting a warm, captivating, and vibrant glow across the room when illuminated, effectively transforming a purely functional light fixture into an impressive luminous object with artistic value.
The delicate fragility and subtle structure of this standout solitaire have survived the passage of time in exceptionally well-preserved, original condition. Specialists approached the intervention with utmost care—performing only necessary surface cleaning to remove dust and a complete professional electrical inspection in strict accordance with valid standards, fully restoring one hundred percent safe functionality while preserving the absolute historical authenticity of the entire piece.
Thanks to its strong sculptural character, bold morphology, and captivating color palette, this lamp will become an unmissable design statement within any interior type. It stands out brilliantly atop a solid credenza in a modern living room, as an original and cozy bedside feature in an elegant bedroom, or as a striking solitaire on a side table within an artist's studio or study, bringing the unmistakable energy, timeless aesthetics, and legacy of the golden era of Czechoslovak glass design into the space.
