Product description
Bring the serene, rugged beauty of the Nordic wilderness into your home with this stunning original mid-century oil painting by listed Danish artist Christian Lautrup (b. 1931). Known for his naturalistic, atmospheric depictions of the Scandinavian countryside, Lautrup perfectly captures the quiet drama of a pine forest clearing. The composition features a winding trail cutting through dense evergreens, textured boulders, and a striking broken tree trunk under a soft, hazy Nordic sky. The painting is executed in rich, layered oil pigments on canvas and is housed in its magnificent, heavy vintage gold gilt wooden frame. It is signed in the lower right corner by the artist with his characteristic signature: "LAUTRUP. R". Perfect for adding a touch of authentic Mid-Century Modern character, hygge warmth, or rustic woodland charm to a living room, study, or gallery wall.
