About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This original vase is a refined artistic expression of the renowned AV Mazzega glassworks, crafted from authentic Murano glass during the 1980s. The piece stands out for its sculptural silhouette and softly curved upper profile, elements that lend the piece a striking presence of great formal rigor and visual elegance.
The material composition exploits the expert sommerso glass technique, encapsulating a vibrant, intense blue core within a thick layer of transparent glass. This complex craftsmanship, deeply rooted in Venetian tradition, creates a fascinating interplay of light refractions and optical depths that vary depending on the angle of the light. The original factory label, bearing the words AV Mazzega Murano - Made in Italy, is still clearly visible on the surface, unmistakably certifying the authenticity, craftsmanship, and geographical provenance of the piece.
The structural and aesthetic condition are excellent, reflecting extremely careful conservation over the decades. The material retains its original luster and impeccable finish, preserving the historic character and remarkable collectible value of this iconic expression of late 20th-century Italian design.
This piece is ideal for enhancing a contemporary setting or blending harmoniously into a sophisticated collection of designer glass. Its organic shape and deep color make it a perfect focal point whether placed on a minimalist console table, a coffee table, or within a well-lit display case.
