For sale is an absolute masterpiece of Mid-Century design: an original J.T. Kalmar ice glass pendant lamp from the famous 'Tulipan' series, made from solid, structured ice glass elements and a high-quality brass mounting.
Special 1st-hand history
This lamp has an unbroken family history: the grandmother of the first owner worked directly in Kalmar assembly in Essen at the end of the 1960s and brought this piece from production into family ownership. The lamp has hung untouched in the same place since its first installation and comes from a well-maintained, pet-free, non-smoking household.
Condition in detail
Ice glass elements: Absolutely flawless. Every single glass plate is undamaged – without cracks, chips, or splinters.
Brass frame: Honest and authentic. After more than 50 years, the metal frame shows a beautiful, age-appropriate patina and slight superficial traces that underline its genuine vintage character and remain hidden when mounted.
