Description
Expressive figurative composition by the Dutch artist Toon Hezemans. The work is executed in a free, gestural style with powerful brushstrokes and ink lines.
The image depicts abstract, almost anthropomorphic figures constructed from rapid movements of line and blot. The dynamics of the composition are enhanced by transparent gray tones and spontaneous splatter and scratch marks.
At the bottom, the work is signed “Hezemans” and dated 1990, alongside the title Dagdrómen. The work is framed in a simple wooden frame with a mat.
Condition
Good condition. Light signs of wear on frame and glass consistent with age.
