Product description
A beautiful piece of authentic Swedish design! This iconic mid-century modern coffee table (soffbord) was produced in the 1950s by the respected manufacturer Åtvidaberg Möbler in Sweden. (info and photos can be found online).
The absolute highlight of this table is its organic base.
The legs are made of beautifully bent plywood (bentwood / form-pressed wood), a characteristic technique for high-quality Scandinavian design from this period.
Between the legs is a subtly centered, 'floating' magazine shelf resting on elegant metal supports.
The tabletop has been refurbished and is in neat condition and has received a light lacquer finish, making the table immediately ready for use in the living room (no deep rings).
The frame and the characteristic bent legs are structurally 100% sound, very sturdy and stable.
A unique opportunity for lovers of pure Swedish mid-century craftsmanship!
Dimensions (always approx):
• Width: 89.2 cm
• Height: 71.4 cm
• Depth: 33.4 cm
Internal dimensions (magazine section, always approx):
• Width: 86 cm
• Height of bottom compartment to shelf: 23.4 cm
• Height of shelf to top: 22.7 cm
Some photos have been edited to give a good impression of the furniture. Also a photo of how the table would look against a wall is for inspiration.
