About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This alabaster table lamp is the quintessence of French elegance from the 1920s Art Deco period. During this time, France pioneered the use of translucent natural materials that could transform electric light into a warm, soft glow. The lamp acts not just as a lighting fixture but, thanks to its noble material composition, as a glowing sculptural object that adds a touch of period luxury to any interior.
The item is in its original, very well-preserved condition. The robust marble construction of the base provides stability and forms a solid foundation for the delicate alabaster shade. Alabaster is highly valued for its specific grain and ability to diffuse light in unique nuances. The fixture has undergone a technical overhaul and features new electrical wiring, making it fully functional and ready for immediate use in both modern and historical settings.
