Product description
Vintage Orientalist Painting (c. 1930) – Lively Medina Scene – Signed Perrin
Add a touch of escapism and vintage elegance to your home with this magnificent Orientalist pastel from the 1930s. This captivating work depicts a scene of daily life in a medina alleyway (Morocco or Tunisia), bathed in warm, authentic light.
Created using mixed media (pastel and gouache), this painting is distinguished by its exquisite detail: colorful vegetable stalls, figures in traditional dress, and the typical architecture with its green glazed tiles.
Its elegant vertical format (38 x 23.5 cm) is perfect for displaying over a wall or as part of a gallery wall.
Its authenticity: It is sold in its original light wood frame, with its original mounting, guaranteeing its age. Its luminosity: The contrast between the white walls and the blue sky brings real depth to your room.
Artist: Signed PERRIN lower right.
Period: Circa 1930-1940.
Good vintage condition. Note a slight old stain on the wall to the left and a small chip on the wood of the frame at the bottom (mostly visible from the back), which does not detract from the charm of this unique piece.
Ready to hang.
