Beautiful vintage cushion mirror, also known as a repoussé mirror, faceted mirror from the first half of the 20th century, Belle Epoque style, France.
The central faceted mirror has 4 relief panels surrounding it, giving this mirror a three-dimensional effect. It features decorative acanthus tendrils, shell-shaped ornaments, flowers, and rocaille patterns made of hammered brass, on the original pine wood base.
An elegant and charming mirror; the brass bears a very beautiful patina of age, and the original mirror glass is also decoratively speckled and beautifully weathered, which is sought after by collectors.
