This hand-carved wooden sculpture depicts Budai, widely recognised as the Laughing Buddha. Originating from Asia, this traditional figure is canonically associated with happiness, prosperity, and abundance, captured here through his characteristic joyful expression and relaxed posture. Crafted from solid wood, the statue demonstrates careful artisanal technique in its sculpted folds and decorative details along the flowing robe.
