About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
Open, awakened, and deeply still. Nuru — Swahili for light, illumination. A name that marks the transition from darkness to awareness. Not dramatic. Just clear. This face carries that same quiet quality: open, unhurried, impossible to walk past. NURU is a large-scale naive portrait, open, awakened, and deeply still. At 106 × 156 cm (Handmade mahogany wooden frame included), this is not art that fills a space. It is art that defines one. The wood and frame naturally deepen in colour over the years, making NURU a work that becomes more itself with time.
