Product description
Do you love high-quality mid-century graphics and British art? Here I have a beautiful, original screen print from 1971 by the British artist Norman Wade (1922-2004).
This work shows an atmospheric and modernist depiction of the historic ruins of Fountains Abbey in Yorkshire.
Wade beautifully brings the Gothic arches and monumental architecture to life through his characteristic use of abstract patterns, graphic structures, and a stylish palette of earthy tones, moss green, and deep shadows.
It is a limited edition.
The work is numbered (4/60) on the bottom left and hand-signed and dated ('71) in pencil on the bottom right.
The lithograph is framed 'a l'époque' in a matching wooden frame with a deep green passe-partout that beautifully enhances the colors of the artwork. The frame shows some signs of wear.
A beautiful, modernist work that, beautifully reframed, fits perfectly into any interior.
It is a very beautiful work!
