For sale is a rare and absolutely iconic postmodern design classic from the 1990s: an original, hand-knotted Nepalese rug by renowned textile designer Nini Ferrucci from the Yssima Carpet Editions collection. The colorful and high-contrast "jungle" motif, featuring her signature toucans and exotic plants, is among the designer's most sought-after creations. It is a true work of art for the floor ("Art Rug"). The original Certificate of Authenticity (Certificate of Origin) with its individual serial number is intact and attached to the back of the rug (see photos). Technical details from the certificate: Designer: Nini Ferrucci Edition: Yssima Carpet Editions Origin: Hand-knotted in Nepal Dimensions: 204 cm x 288 cm (Total area: approx. 5.88 m²) Material: High-quality, extremely soft blend of 70% New Zealand wool and 30% Tibetan wool Quality: 80 lines (Very dense, heavy pile with excellent feel) Design number: 9341 Individual registration number: 93E287 Condition (Honest vintage description): The rug is in good, age-appropriate vintage condition. The colors are still beautiful, vibrant, and expressive. The pile is thick and soft. The fringes are authentic and well-preserved. Note regarding signs of wear: The rug is in its original, uncleaned condition. There is a slight, age-related darker shading/soiling in the gray-blue main field (see detail photo). Additionally, there is a small loose thread in one part of the design. The cost of professional cleaning has already been factored into the asking price.
