Nicola Rozemeijer (born 1955 in Amsterdam and works in Utrecht) attended the academy in Amersfoort (1st degree) and the Royal Academy in 's Hertogenbosch. Rozemeijer initially makes monumental works of clay and later objects and installations of wood, metal and cement. In addition, she has always drawn and painted and, just like with her sculptures, she knows how to evoke a special atmosphere. People, animal patterns or buildings, nothing really special. The visual outside world influences her inner world and returns mixed on the canvas. In recent years, Nicola Rozemeijer has been particularly fascinated by spaces, buildings and reflections. Recognizable things but not an exact representation of reality. There is room for association and the attribution of meaning, each from his own memory or experience.
Nicola Rozemeijer exhibited in countless places. She received a number of stipends and her work is included in various private and corporate collections.
