Product description
Unframed Giclée Fine Art print on thick museum-quality matte paper. 24 x 36 inches = 61 × 91 cm Nichols Canyon is one of the first Californian paintings where D. Hockney deviates from his earlier explorations of swimming pools and modernist architecture, marking the beginning of his vibrant and dynamic landscapes of the 1980s. The painting captures the unique light and geography of California, depicting the winding roads and hills of Nichols Canyon in Los Angeles, and marks an evolution towards a more abstract and pictorial style, close to Fauvism.
