The Ara floor lamp was designed in 2004 by the Italian designer Ilaria Marelli for the Nemo Lighting brand. In 2022, the design won the VIII Premio Lissone Design award. The lamp is inspired by architectural light cuts and consists of two slender elements of extruded aluminum. The fixed part is sprayed in champagne color and the rotatable part is highly polished. The floor lamp has an upward-facing halogen lamp in the fixed part and a fluorescent lamp in the vertical rotatable element. The vertical element can be rotated horizontally to the desired position, allowing for various types of direct or indirect lighting. Ara is a beautiful and artistic floor lamp, with a simple and tasteful design. The halogen lamp can be switched on, off, and dimmed using the slider on the floor dimmer. The vertical fluorescent tube is switched on and off by the push button on the dimmer. By holding down the button, the light intensity can be adjusted, allowing the lamp to provide anything from powerful illumination to warm, subdued lighting. It can be used in many places in the house. Place the floor lamp in the bedroom or living room and let it illuminate the room or cast a warm and subdued carpet of light into the surroundings. 3 extra spare fluorescent tubes are included with the lamp.
