This large, striking pendant features that typical South Western/Native American style often seen in sterling silver jewelry with turquoise stones. However, this pendant is not made of silver; I tested this with an acid test kit. The metal is not magnetic and feels warmer than the steel chain from which it hangs. This, along with the light silver color, leads me to suspect that the pendant is actually made of hammered aluminum with two turquoise stones set in it. The long chain is made of steel (a variant that can tarnish) and has no clasp; you simply slide it over your head.
Although the pendant has a South Western style, it could also fall under the Brutalist style that was popular in the middle of the last century, but I do not think the piece is that old. It is simply a beautiful piece of jewelry for anyone looking for a statement piece for their neck. Length of the complete necklace (necklace + pendant): 46 centimeters
Length of the necklace: 38 centimeters
Width of the necklace: 0.4 millimeters
Length of the pendant: 8 centimeters
Width of the pendant: 4.7 centimeters
