Product description
A magnificent, handmade and hand-etched pottery vase by the renowned Native American artist Elsie Benally (Navajo / Diné). This piece originates from the American Southwest region and was produced in collaboration with the famous Cedar Mesa Pottery studios.
The vase features a beautiful two-tone, matte glaze in sand and terracotta hues. A highly detailed and traditional scene is hand-etched (etchware) all around. It depicts a Navajo weaver at work inside a traditional dwelling (Hogan), surrounded by the desert landscape with a sheep/goat. This symbolizes the Navajo concept of Hózhó (harmony and beauty).
The vase is authentically hand-signed by the artist Elsie Benally on the bottom.
In excellent vintage condition, without chips, cracks, or deep scratches.
A beautiful and meaningful collector's item for lovers of Native American art and unique vintage pottery!
