Product description
Very old oil on canvas painting. Still life floral composition (anemones, mimosa, wallflowers), French School. Dated late 19th early 20th century. Unsigned (or faded), often the case at that time for a Regional work. Very beautiful work typical of this period: deep shadow play, quality of execution. Original canvas, unrestored. Period white molded frame adorned with gilded friezes inspired by Louis XV. Old artisanal mounting: nails, stretcher keys. Illegible pencil inscriptions on the back but attributed to the frame maker. Note 2 holes on the canvas: left side and right side, probably due to nails, which does not detract from its charm. Traces of use on the frame and lack of original paint on the passe-partout. 60 x 53 cm. Depth 4 cm
