Product description
This mushroom-shaped side table is a decorative Mid-Century furniture piece, strongly inspired by organic and pop designs of the 1960s and 1970s. The body is made of metal, drawn downwards in a bulbous shape and finished with a white, slightly textured surface. The upper part forms a contrasting, high-gloss plate in deep red, whose shape resembles a mushroom cap and which gains plastic depth through its color gradient from red to orange. The design appears sculptural and functional at the same time – the table can be used as a side table next to a sofa or armchair, but it is also an independent design object that dominates the room with its striking shape and color scheme. Stylistically, the table can be classified between Pop Art and Space Age, it ties in with the playful furniture design of those years, as realized by various manufacturers in Italy and Germany.
