A lilac glass lamp by Vittorio Zecchin - balanced in form, refined in color and unmistakably handmade. Active in the early 20th century, Zecchin played a key role in reviving Venetian glass traditions by blending them with a modern, almost architectural sensibility. His work reflects a search for harmony - between past and present, craft and design.
Zecchin is today considered a key figure in the transition from traditional to modern Italian applied art and a pioneer who helped renew and reposition the craft of Murano glass on the international stage.
