About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This Murano glass vase was designed by master glassblower Vincenzo Nason. Dating from around 1965, this mid-century piece exemplifies the renowned craftsmanship of Venetian glassmaking.
The vase is crafted from aventurine glass, a technique that imparts a subtle glitter effect to the glass through the incorporation of copper particles. The color palette features a deep, almost black base tone with translucent brown and golden inclusions that become visible when light passes through. Its bulbous, pear-like shape is characteristic of the organic design of the era.
The overall condition of the object is good and consistent with its age. The glossy surface is largely preserved, reflecting the quality of the original manufacturing. This piece is an authentic example of mid-20th century Italian design.
As a standalone decorative object or for displaying individual flower stems, this vase seamlessly integrates into interiors ranging from Mid-Century Modern to contemporary styles. It harmonizes particularly well with wooden furniture and warm metal accents.
