This work is a mural by French artist Olivia Cognet, titled « Deep Green Lava Stone ». It is a monumental sculptural composition that explores the tension between organic form and fragmented geometry, characteristic of the artist's work.
Made of enameled lava stone, this unique piece stands out for its brilliant finish and intense color palette. The surface features shades of deep green and blue, with black drips that accentuate the relief and texture of the volcanic stone. The work is composed of several distinct elements that assemble to create an abstract and dynamic form, designed to capture and reflect light.
As a contemporary work of Art, the mural is in impeccable condition. The enameling technique on lava gives the piece exceptional durability and color depth, creating a striking contrast between the brutality of the raw material and the preciousness of the vitrified surface. Each segment is carefully shaped to contribute to the cohesive whole.
This mural is a centerpiece intended to occupy a significant wall space, whether in a living room, an entrance hall, or an office. Its powerful aesthetic integrates well into modern and minimalist interiors as well as more eclectic or brutalist-inspired decors, where it brings a touch of color and a strong sculptural presence.
