A beautiful and characteristic vintage ceramic Vase from Vallauris (France), dating from the 1950s. This model is a beloved collector's item among lovers of mid-century modern design. The Vase stands out for its bold, organic design with openwork handles and a wavy rim. The glaze is a brilliant example of early French drip glaze: a deep brown base with flowing accents of vibrant green and a fiery, bright red 'flame'. Specifications: * Origin: Vallauris, France * Period: 1950s (Mid-Century Modern) * Height: 25 cm (measured at the highest point) * Underside: Blank / unsigned (very common for this specific model line from that period) * Condition: In very good vintage condition, completely intact without chips or cracks. The rim shows a small, light spot in the glaze. This is an authentic production error/firing error from the oven (a small air bubble/glaze mismatch under the smooth layer), which is inherent to the artisanal craftsmanship of this period and contributes to its unique character.
