Monumental wall-mounted sculpture executed in painted papier-mâché by Mexican artist Sergio Bustamante (b. 1949). Titled "Sol Eclipse" (Solar Eclipse), this large-scale composition features a surrealist fusion of anthropomorphic sun and moon visages sharing facial features. In this piece, the sun merges with the moon to present an eclipse charged with symbolism. The central medallion is framed by undulating, gradient-colored rays transitioning from deep red to yellow. The piece is signed and numbered 39 of 100 on the right edge.
