An eye-catcher for your interior! Offered for sale: a beautiful, monumental postmodern sculpture of a woman's face in a sleek profile with a geometric veil. This sculpture exudes the characteristic Art Deco Revival style of the 1980s and is an absolute design classic. Given the style, construction, and impressive size, this object aligns seamlessly with the iconic designs of Austin Productions from that period. Material & Construction The sculpture is crafted from heavy white casting material (composite/casting clay) and finished with a stunning, matte terracotta patina layer. This gives the object the authentic, warm appearance of solid fired earthenware, combined with the sleek design of postmodernism. Condition The sculpture is in beautiful vintage condition with a subtly lived-in character. On a few sharp edges and creases, the terracotta finish has become slightly thinner over the years due to polishing, allowing the light underlying layer to show through very subtly. This actually gives the bust a beautiful, authentic patina and proves its vintage age. There is no major damage or breakage.
