A splendid, monumental Art Deco Vase from the historical Belgian glassworks Verreries & Gobeleteries Edmond Paul (located in Neufvilles, active between 1919-1954). This specific model dates from the 1930s and is a beautiful example of early Belgian glass art design. The Vase is executed in a warm, atmospheric amber color and has a very elegant, organic chalice shape that tapers into a characteristic pleated top rim. This is a guaranteed authentic, artisanal piece. The typical, rough pontil mark (the scar from the blowpipe) is perfectly visible on the underside. This proves that the Vase is completely hand-blown and hand-formed. Authentic swirl lines in the glass can also be seen around the pontil mark. With an impressive height of 38 cm, this is a rarely large size that immediately draws attention in any Mid-Century Modern or eclectic interior.
