Product description
This is a monumental Sculpture from the Art Deco period, designed by the Italian artist Ugo Cipriani (1887-1960). The work, titled "Le Pêcheur" (The Fisherman), is a powerful example of the dynamic and stylized aesthetic characteristic of the early 20th century.
The Sculpture is made of a heavy, solid stucco/composite material, weighing 7.3 KG, with a dark, almost black patina that accentuates the muscular form of the fisherman. The composition shows a man pulling in a rope with full force, creating a sense of effort and movement. The work is signed by the artist, Ugo Cipriani, and bears the mark "Déposé", indicating that the design was registered. This piece is a typical product of French Art Deco production.
The overall condition of the Sculpture is good and consistent with its age. The original finish and character of the piece have been preserved, contributing to its authentic appearance. The Sculpture shows the natural patina one would expect from a vintage object.
With its imposing presence and dramatic appearance, this Sculpture is a striking statement piece. It fits perfectly into a classic, eclectic, or Art Deco interior, for example, on a dresser, a console, or a specially designed pedestal.
