This is the Charly armchair, an iconic design by Gerard van den Berg for the Dutch brand Montis. With its characteristic high backrest and slender posture, the Charly has been a true design classic since its introduction in 1983.
This version has been re-upholstered with very high-quality black leather, which forms a beautiful contrast with the sleek, black metal base. The design is minimalist but offers surprisingly much comfort, partly thanks to the way the leather 'jacket' is loosely draped around the frame. The armchair has an inviting yet robust appearance.
