Axel
Axel combines elegant design with ultimate comfort. This stylish sofa, designed by Gijs Papavoine, radiates an inviting warmth thanks to its wonderfully soft cushions. Whether you choose an armchair, a generous 5-seater sofa, a chaise longue or an ottoman, Axel offers endless possibilities to create your ideal arrangement.
Gijs Papavoine: 'The Axel is a sofa with a comfortable seat depth. The wooden frame is covered with many elements. The exterior, with its wide back, has, in my opinion, perfect proportions. The entire shape of the Axel exudes comfort. I had thought that I wanted to make the sofa "floating". I did this by placing the metal legs a little deeper under the sofa, so that you hardly see them. The arms taper at the front. I like a sofa that is simply a sofa, powerful in its simplicity. My vision here: "A clear, seemingly simple design is the translation of the most original thought."'
