A rare pair of chairs designed by the Dutch architect and interior designer who was an active member of "Group &" - The group that included designers Hein Stolle and Pierre Kleykamp was influenced by the leading modernists of the time. Eventually, Den Boon was expelled from the group because his ideas and designs were considered too purist. His designs fit seamlessly into the functionalist designs of the Mid - Century modernist movement. Den Boon's dogmatic nature and the sober tone of his articles led to too much controversy, forcing Wim Den Boon to resign from the magazine in 1950.
These chairs have their original faux leather upholstery that was common for Den Boon's furniture.
