About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a unique, hand-formed ceramic sculpture by an unknown artist. The work depicts two stylized, intertwined faces on an elongated, columnar base, evoking a sense of connection and intimacy.
The sculpture is made of earthenware, presumably terracotta, and finished with a combination of textural glazes. The base color is an earthy brown, contrasted with a thickly applied, off-white glaze layer covering the front. Details such as the lips and eyes are hand-painted in red and blue. A monogram of the maker is carved into the back of the base, indicating an authentic studio project.
The overall condition of the Art is good, with a rustic and expressive finish inherent to the design. The rough texture and imperfections in the glaze are intentional features that contribute to the unique character of the piece. It is a 'one of a kind' object.
With its abstract and figurative style, this sculpture fits well into various interiors, from modern to eclectic. It can serve as a striking accent on a dresser, a bookshelf, or in a niche.
