RARE ITALIAN ART DECO FLOOR LAMP BY SCIOLARI – CIRCA 1920s–30s
A Century-Old Masterpiece of Italian Craftsmanship
This exceptional early 20th-century floor lamp, attributed to the renowned Sciolari factory, is a striking example of Italian Art Deco design. It features an elegantly turned brass stem, a refined metal uplighter shade, and three reeded, melon-shaped lamps that offer both visual interest and functional flexibility.
Each lighting element is independently wired, allowing for multiple lighting configurations via the original press-button switches—uplighter only, side lights only, or all at once. The lamp has been professionally rewired and remains fully functional.
Stamped at the base by Sciolari, whose workshop was founded in 1892, this piece likely dates from the 1920s–1930s. The brass has developed a beautiful natural patina, adding character and historical depth. A partially intact Sciolari sticker on the shade further authenticates its origin.
An elegant and rare collector’s piece, this lamp combines timeless Art Deco aesthetics with enduring craftsmanship.
